Patches / Fixes to CGT Reporter Software

From time to time, we address problems or provide improvements to CGT Reporter, by issuing updates to the software, known as "patches". We recommend that you check here for a patch every month or so. The patch detects your specific version of CGT Reporter 2008 and updates it to the latest available.

Note: These patches only update the program - they do NOT add new data to your CGT Reporter.

A VERY IMPORTANT patch for all CGT Reporter 2008 versions (except demos and training versions) is available, effective November 2008. This adds the following features/fixes:

This patch will change the CGT Reporter red "change date" in Help → About CGT Reporter to 24 NOV 2008. Please download the patch and install it, if the red change date in Help → About CGT Reporter is BEFORE this date.

To download the patch, click on the underlined link and "SAVE AS" into a suitable folder on your network or PC. DOWNLOAD the latest PATCH (patch size 20.56 MB)

You will need to run the patch program, just like you ran the CGT Reporter Setup, following the prompts and choosing EXACTLY THE SAME folder that CGT Reporter was installed in. You will need to do this for every INDEPENDENT installation of CGT Reporter in your office. So, for instance, if you have installed to the network server, then you only need to install the patch ONCE, but if you installed onto individual PCs then you MUST patch CGT Reporter on EACH PC.

Once the patch is installed, please open your CGT Reporter and go to Help → About CGT Reporter and verify that the application Change Date now says Changed 24 NOV 2008. The first time you re-enter CGT Reporter, some management processing may take place. This is normal and may take several minutes.

After you have run the patch, the users can get back into the CGT Reporter and use it. You should NOT need to re-register, but, if re-registration is required, the original registration code still applies.
