Patches / Fixes to CGT Reporter Software

Patches ONLY fix programs

Patches do NOT add new data to your CGT Reporter

For data updates (trust update or midyear update), contact CGT Reporter on 1300 300 224

From time to time, we address problems or provide improvements to CGT Reporter, by issuing updates to the software, known as "patches". We recommend that you check here for a patch every month or so. The patch detects your specific version of CGT Reporter 2011 and updates it to the latest available. It does not give you any new data.

Note: These patches only update the program - they do NOT add new data to your CGT Reporter.

A patch for all major CGT Reporter 2011 versions (from July 2011 onwards, excluding training versions and some demos) is available, effective January 2012. This adds the following features/fixes:

This patch will change the CGT Reporter red "change date" in Help → About CGT Reporter to 27 JAN 2012. Please download the patch and install it, if the red change date in Help → About CGT Reporter is BEFORE this date. If the change date is on or after 11 Jan 2012, this patch is purely optional. If the change date is AFTER 27 Jan 2012, it is NOT RECOMMENDED to apply this patch.

To download the patch, click on the underlined link and "SAVE AS" into a suitable folder on your network or PC. DOWNLOAD the latest PATCH (patch size 31.1 MB)

You will need to run the patch program, just like you ran the CGT Reporter Setup, following the prompts and choosing EXACTLY THE SAME folder that CGT Reporter was installed in. You will need to do this for every INDEPENDENT installation of CGT Reporter in your office. So, for instance, if you have installed to the network server, then you only need to install the patch ONCE, but if you installed onto individual PCs then you MUST patch CGT Reporter on EACH PC.

Once the patch is installed, please open your CGT Reporter and go to Help → About CGT Reporter and verify that the application Change Date now says Changed 27 JAN 2012 . The first time you re-enter CGT Reporter, some management processing may take place. This is normal and may take several minutes.

After you have run the patch, and any management processing has taken place, the users can get back into the CGT Reporter and use it. You should NOT need to re-register, but, if re-registration is required, the original registration code still applies.
